1. Introduction

Welcome to Spice Route Berlin ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Our Platform

Spice Route Berlin is a marketplace that connects independent home chefs ("Chefs") with customers ("Customers") seeking home-cooked meals. We act as an intermediary to facilitate ordering and payment. We are not a restaurant or food preparation entity.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of our Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Orders and Payments

When you place an order, you authorize a payment on your selected payment method. The payment is only captured after a Chef accepts your order. Prices are set by the Chefs, and a platform fee is added to each order. All payments are processed through our third-party payment provider, Stripe.

5. Food Safety and Allergies

Chefs are independent third parties responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding food preparation, safety, and labeling. Spice Route Berlin does not prepare, handle, or inspect the food. Customers are responsible for communicating any allergies or dietary restrictions in the order notes. We cannot guarantee that any food prepared by Chefs is free of allergens.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spice Route Berlin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Platform or any food purchased through it.

7. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by posting the new Terms on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
